About Us |
I live just outside Vancouver Washington on the beautiful Columbia Gorge. I have been quilting for over 30 years and it is my passion. I fell in love with fabric when I was very young. My mother and older sister made most of their clothes and I always got to use the leftover pieces for my doll clothes. I learned to quilt while I was living in Denver Colorado in the early 70's from a dear friend. She was very frugal and had fabric from decades of sewing. She was in her 70's when I met her and she taught me to quilt the old fashioned way. Feedsacks are my favorite vintage fabric. I started collecting feedsacks and vintage fabric from the 1930's, 40's and 50's about 12 years ago. I make vintage quilts with my fabric. I also use it for quilt repair and restoration. I love to add interest to my quilts with ric rac, buttons, lace, embroidery thread and textured fabric to give them a one of a kind touch. I also work in new fabric and design custom quilts made to order. If you have an idea I can make it into a quilt for you. I make memory quilts, football quilts, sport quilts, t-shirt quilts, flannel quilts, vintage quilts, baby quilts, dog quilts, religious quilts and wedding quilts. Once the quilt top is done I quilt it for you on my long arm quilting machine. Perhaps you have a quilt top that your grandmother made and never finished. We can honor her memory by completing it. Or your son has graduated from college and you want to make him a quilt from his t-shirts. Maybe you have lost a loved one and want to make a quilt from their clothes for comfort.
